Fast, easy, fresh, delicious. It’s guacamole, ’nuff said.

—Ingredients—

Fast

  • 3 avocados (~600g in store, 400g w/o pits)
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro, roughly chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced (2 tbsp)
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Fancy

  • 3 avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced (2 tbsp)
  • 1/2 small red onion, diced (~80g)
  • 1 tomato, seeded and diced (~100g)
  • 1-2 jalepeno, serrano, or habenero peppers, diced (~15g)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin (Optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro, roughly chopped

—Method—

  1. Mash the avocados.
  2. Fancy StepMix in the onion, tomato, peppers, and cumin.
  3. Add the lime juice and salt to taste.
  4. Mix in the cilantro.

—Notes—

  • Peppers are listed in order of ascending heat. Choose wisely.
  • The type of onion or tomato are not overly important; use whatever you have on hand.
  • To avoid the guacamole browning before serving, spread plastic wrap across the surface, then cover as normal and refrigerate.

  • With chips, on tacos, etc.
