Ingredients
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 stalks celery, diced
- 8 tbsp unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 12c bread cubes (15oz dried cubes)
- 3-4c chicken broth
- 2 tbsp parsley
- 2tbsp fresh herbs, chopped fine (sage, thyme, rosemary)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat and add onion, celery, and herbs. Cook until soft, about 10-15m.
- Place the bread cubes in a large bowl. Add onion mixture. Pour in broth about 1/2c at a time, pausing to mix. Continue until bread cubes are moist but not soggy. You may not need all of the broth.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer to baking dish, cover and bake for 35m. Uncover and bake an additional 10m.
- Remove when warmed through.
