Ingredients
Sachet
- 6-8 Cardamom pods, crushed
- pinch of Cloves
- 2 star anise
- cinnamon stick, crushed
- lemongrass, crushed and thickly sliced (optional)
- roughly chopped piece of thumb-sized ginger
orange zest
wedges of orange
1tbsp sugar (or 125g?)
750ml bottle red wine
- Create spice sachet.
- Add sachet and remaining ingredients to wine.
- Heat gently – don’t boil, or you’ll evaporate the alcohol.
- Remove from heat and allow to infuse for a couple hours. Strain and gently reheat. (optional)
