Ingredients
- 3 egg whites (about 90g)
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- 4c powdered sugar
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- In a stand mixer mix egg whites and vanilla until frothy.
- Add sugar in small batches and mix on low until incorporated.
- Beat on high to soft peaks.
- Add food coloring, if desired.
- You may want to add water, 1tsp at a time, if a thinner consistency for piping is desired.
- Alternatively, beat to stiff peaks for a thicker icing to spread more easily over an entire cookie.
